Educating schools
The Meldpunt Discriminatie Regio Amsterdam has a lot of experience in education giving guest lectures on discrimination. We provide information about what discrimination is and share practical examples so that pupils and students learn what discrimination can look like and what it does to people. During interactive and engaging lessons we discuss what stereotypes and prejudices are, how they can deal with these and how they themselves can contribute to reducing discrimination.
Advice to businesses
What do you do as a manager if you notice discrimination taking place within your company or employees being bullied? Are there any codes of conduct? If so, what does this say and does the staff adhere to them? And what do you do if your organization is accused of discrimination? Is the workplace a reflection of society?
