Meldder aan het woord' is a publication of the Meldpunt Discriminatie Regio Amsterdam that zooms in on a specific discrimination ground. This publication provides insight into how it feels for Amsterdam residents to experience Muslim discrimination. After a brief numerical overview, several reporters of Muslim discrimination who made a report to the Meldpunt Discriminatie Regio Amsterdam in 2018, 2019 or 2020 are featured. They share their views on why reporting makes sense, what it feels like to be excluded in your own city, institutional discrimination, reactions to discrimination when it is raised, and what they believe is needed for a discrimination-free Amsterdam.
